Drawing Portrait and self-portrait

The goal of this course is to provide an introduction to portrait drawing. We will study anatomy, proportions,
lighting, shadows, point of view, the construction of the face and its relationship with the head.
In the second part of this course we will continue our work with photographic images. Our last exercise will
entail the drawing of a self-portrait. We will experiment with the stroke through the use of graphite, charcoal
and pastel drawing techniques.
